In my work life, I am a five time serial entrepreneur, turned venture capitalist working at Matrix Partners. I have a degree in Computer Science, and started my first software company when I was just a few months out of university.  I invest in Software companies like HubSpot, Apollo GraphQL in the SaaS and infrastructure space. However, enough about work, this blog is all about my personal non-work interests! 

I love learning new technology and exploring it can impact my creative endeavors. I also find it fascinating to ponder the impacts on the future of work, society, etc. I like to invest in the public stock markets based on theses that I develop from my own experiments with technology, as well as from talking to founders, customers, etc. 

Very sadly, I find that, while I can learn pretty much any complex technology easily, I have very little creative ability, and I have to work really hard to understand things like what makes a good composition. I think I must be very left-brained, with a very under-developed right-brain skill set. To compensate for this, I try to put myself in places which are so stunning that even a moron can capture decent imagery. I have huge admiration for those filmmakers and photographers who are truly creative and original.
